Chinaberry Tree
The wood from which SEJATI's Chinaberry Sculptures are carved has a special story:
Deep in the forest of Bali, parasitic plants attach to the chinaberry tree causing highly unusual burl-like shapes to grow on the limbs.
Only the branch is removed. Through the skillful hands and thoughtful eye of the carver, the art form buried within the branch emerges.
Carved in concert with nature, chinaberry sculptures are truly unique.
